Who are we?
Friendships often lead to the most memorable experiences, right? Toxiyls is one such story about friends. They were backbenchers in school. Eventually, they found themselves hanging out and making music together. In 2017, Toxiyls emerged as an EDM duo, inspired by the vibrant sounds of clubs and music festivals, ultimately making electronic music a significant influence in their creative journey.
Atharva showed interest in playing the piano at an early age. However, he never pursued it until he discovered the likes of Linkin Park, Arijit Singh, Martin Garrix, Hans Zimmer, and more. Over the years, he found out that these influences shaped his artistic palette, providing a foundation for his musical expressions.
Conversely, Rohan, initially an unconventional musician, indulged in sports, skipped classes, and mostly hung out with friends. He never imagined that making music alone in a room would give him more joy. He started off by mixing songs for hip-hop dancers on virtual DJ, but he gradually became interested in exploring sounds and manipulating them, which ultimately led him to produce and create songs.
Despite coming from different backgrounds, their shared love and enthusiasm for music brought them together. Over time, they honed their skills and musical sense. They have collaborated with other artists over the years, making even more friends.
Transitioning from their underground EDM roots to the pop realm, particularly with tracks like "Udd Chala" and "Raahein," Toxiyls brought a distinctive flavor to the pop genre. They produce their own music and help other artists produce, compose, and mix songs. Their journey has only just begun, and they are hopeful about what the future holds 💖
Their sound can be summed up with:
Simplicity with a powerful soundscape...
